Mindful Sculpture: Exploring Well-being through Soap Carving -10am – 60 Minutes

This course centres around the therapeutic practice of soap carving, emphasizing its positive impact on overall well-being. Soap carving, akin to other artistic pursuits, serves as a meditative and tranquil activity, engaging participants in a sensory exploration of tactile sensations and the rhythmic precision of carving tools. This deliberate focus contributes to stress reduction and fosters a sense of relaxation.

Throughout the course, participants will develop concentration and mindfulness, cultivating an awareness and full engagement in the present moment. The practice of mindfulness is recognized for its diverse mental health benefits. By dedicating time to soap carving, individuals can effectively detach from daily stressors, embracing a valuable opportunity for self-care. This uncomplicated yet deeply fulfilling activity serves as an investment in one’s holistic well-being.

Moreover, soap carving is not only an individual pursuit but can also serve as a social activity. Engaging in this craft provides a platform for connection with like-minded individuals who share a common interest, fostering a sense of community and shared creativity.

Engage in Creative Expression: Collage as a Pathway to Self-Discover – 11am – 60 Minutes

This course offers a platform for creative self-expression through the art of collage, empowering participants to thoughtfully select and arrange images, colors, and textures. The process of crafting a collage serves as a fulfilling outlet for emotions and thoughts, allowing individuals to externalize their innermost feelings.

By meticulously choosing and organizing visual elements, participants create a tangible representation of abstract or complex emotions. This visual manifestation facilitates a clearer understanding of one’s emotional landscape. The act of collage-making necessitates concentration and a focused presence in the current moment, fostering a mindful state.

Immerse yourself in the mindfulness aspect of this course, allowing the act of collage creation to momentarily redirect attention from stressors. This intentional shift promotes a profound sense of calm and relaxation, offering a holistic approach to well-being through the art of visual expression.
